ISO TC 176 Quality Management

The Quality Management System (QMS) standards are managed by ISO Technical Committee 176. If you want to understand the vocabulary for the world of quality management, that is overseen by Subcommittee 1, found here. ISO 9001 Under Revision
It all begins with an idea.
ISO 9001:2015 is currently under revision, and is expected to re-issued in early 2026. The current Draft International Standard (DIS) is available here. The standard will still need to progress through the Final Draft International Standard (FDIS) version before official release. Until then, the current DIS version may experience significant changes. Still, for those wanting to understand how the standard might change, the DIS version can be instructive.
